The ancestral home to many noteworthy poets, authors and singers and with great fame for its involvement with the legend of Robin Hood is the county of Nottinghamshire in the East Midlands region of England. The legendary purlieu of Robin Hood, this 450-acre county park is now part of the Sherwood Forest National Nature Reserve and home to a fascinating ecosystem. The forest is jeweled with 900 veteran Oak trees including the famous major oak tree regarded as Robin Hood´s principal hideout. Wollaton Park

Yet another spectacular place to mention is the Wollaton Park which is a deer park and home of Wollaton Hall, Nottingham Natural History Museum and Nottingham Industrial Museum. Throughout all the seasons, the park is a popular visitor attraction. In summer, enjoy the glorious sunshine and kick back with a picnic with your friends or family, and in winter wrap up warm and take to the hills on your sleigh. With scores of other notable species present at the site, it is home to a herd of red deer and Fallow deer. The immaculately kept formal gardens provide the perfect spot to sit and relax. Situated adjacent to the stable block is the small walled botanic garden. It serves a useful purpose of exhibiting an area of living plant life. Wollaton Hall is an Elizabethan country house of the 1580s standing on a small but prominent hill in Wollaton Park and its surrounding parkland is regularly used for large-scale outdoor events such as rock concerts, sporting events and festivals. The Hall contains restored Tudor kitchens and Natural History Galleries.

Robin Hoods Wheelgate Park is a 30-acre family theme park and water park in Farnsfield, Nottinghamshire, England. The park includes two large indoor play centres, a farm and a water park. This all-action theme park and water park has eight zones packed to the brim with rides for all ages! Animals are the residents of Wheelgate Park, and throughout the park, there are many places where kids can see and visit the animals. There are many animals in the Animal Adventure Zone, including rabbits, goats, ponies, snakes and other reptiles, a mongoose, llamas, pigs and birds.
