7 Tips to Enjoy a Winter Holiday in the Algarve!

But what to do when the weather is too rainy to roam outside?

1. Use the indoor pool

With a cosy and controlled environment, allows enjoying the pool without the inconvenience of the cold. Swim and relax on the sunbed while having tea and catching up on reading.

2. Relax at the Spa

Take a moment of your own or with your other half and enjoy a relaxing massage. You will be sure to recharge your batteries to continue your holiday with enthusiasm.

3. Learn & prepare some of the local dishes?

Why not surprise your other half with a traditional local dish? Search online or get advice from one of our chefs and set off on the adventure! Don’t forget to tell us how it went!

4. Watch a movie at the Local Cinema

Go out for dinner and watch a movie at the local cinema. Except for children animation, the movies are screened in the original language with Portuguese subtitles. The closest cinema from our Algarve Resorts is in Algarve Shopping, just a 10 minutes taxi ride away.

5. Visit a Museum or Art Gallery

Check out the local galleries and museums programmes and if you find it exciting go for it! There are several galleries and museums in the region you can choose from. Please revisit our post “The Route to the Algarve Museums” to find some options to start with.

6. Enjoy the hotel’s activities

Find more about the hotel’s entertainment and take part in it. Some of our hotels can organize indoor activities such as bridge tournament, bingo, trivia, among others. For further details please contact your reception.

7. Get wet!

Ignore the rain is always an option. Take your coat, rain hat and wellies and move on with your holiday.
