Egg Hunt the Kids Favorite Easter Tradition

Egg Hunt the Kids Favorite Easter Tradition

Although Easter is a Christian holiday, some of its celebrations are linked to old pagan customs. Old pagan festivals used the egg in the Spring Celebrations. In the Christian perspective, Easter eggs can represent the resurrection of Christ.

Easter egg decoration can date back to the 13th century. One reason for this tradition may be the prohibition of eating eggs during the Lenten period. During this period, eggs were painted and decorated and eaten at Easter to celebrate the end of this penance period.

An Easter egg hunt is one of the most popular games for children everywhere! The game consists of searching in a given space, usually outdoors, the most significant number of eggs previously hidden by the parents.

Easter eggs can be cooked and painted, plastic with treats inside or even chocolate coated with coloured aluminium foil.
