Flyboard

Flyboard is a new sport and is becoming one of the favourite activities to practise on the Portuguese shores and inner lakes by people from all over the world. It’s a high energy sport with a low learning curve ability. Anyone above the age of 16 who wants to experience the feeling of flying like a bird and diving like a dolphin. In just one session normally people masters the art of Flyboard. For groups it can be organise anywhere in Portugal with water deep enough.

White Water Rafting

White water rafting is energetic and an exciting sport but is only practised in one place in Portugal as there is only one river that provides the perfect conditions. It is located in the North of Portugal, 50 km from Porto city. The river Paiva is a fast moving rain formed river in a mountainous landscape and this sport is best practised outside of the summer months when the river is full.

Coasteering

Coasteering is a new sport and is becoming a trend amongst adventurers travelling to Portugal. It consists of climbing, sliding, jumping into the water and swimming. In Portugal it can now be done either close to Lisbon or in the Algarve where the coast is best suited to this sport! It can be done In Azores, Madeira, Arrabida, Lagos/Sagres and Geres.

Paragliding

Paragliding in Portugal is becoming more and more popular and there are more companies offering paragliding experiences, equipment. Anyone can try paragliding, from 10 to 100 years, man or woman, with or without reduced mobility, weighing between 30 kg and 90 kg. People with phobia of heights (vertigo) should also try paragliding as it is soothing and may help you get over your fear. Paragliding is an activity that depends on wind and weather conditions and for this reason it is never known until 48 -24 hours before the activity if it will go ahead or not.

Scuba Diving

The Portuguese coastline in one of the longest in Europe with its wild western Atlantic shores to the more quiet and warm Algarvian waters, Portugal has many diving opportunities from certified courses to recreational diving. Its abundance of sea life and aquatic parks make Portugal a much loved destination for scuba divers. There are various schools offering courses, introductions and recreational diving too. Scuba diving can be done with professionals at Lisbon, Cascais, Azores, Albufeira or Portimão.
